New version 1.5 out NOW!


So, the Quarantine Jam is over, and now I can finally upload the updated version of this game. After I submitted the initial version of the project I never actually stopped working on this game, adding new content, fixing bugs, balancing the difficulty, and everything. But of course, the jam wasn't over and I couldn't upload the new version.
Until now, that is.

What's new

  • Added MacOSX version: I can't actually test if it works properly, so any feedback and report on that would be awesome. I decided to add this new version as Godot has a MacOSX default template, so it was just a matter of clicking the "export" button.
  • Added an How to Play menu: now you can see the context and the instructions of this game (the same ones you can see in the game page) from inside the game itself.
  • Recoded enemy spawns: I added a bit of uncertainty in the enemy spawns. While before they just spawned an enemy after a fixed timer ran out (different from each one of them), now they will spawn enemies more and more often as the game progresses, making the game more difficult as time goes.
  • Recoded enemies: enemies will no longer cough at the same moment they spawn. Their also a bit slower, and their aim as been randomized a little, making them less precise. This should make the game a lot more accessible.
  • Bullets are now smaller: this is true for both enemies' and player's bullets.
  • Fixed grenades: now you don't throw grenades anymore: you just place them on the ground. Also, when they explode, they kill every enemy on screen. They are now much more useful to control the field when you're surrounded. They also explode in just one second instead of five like before. Now you can only carry two at a times, tho.
  • Recoded loot: the loot has been almost completely recoded: now finding a grenade is less likely. Finding nothing, masks or ammunition has been made more likely.
  • Added controller support: now you can play using a controller! Use the left stick to aim and the left trigger to shoot. Use instead the right stick to move the character and the right trigger to use a grenade.
  • Added some more minor features: now you can pause the game to exit to main menu while you're playing. To open it, click the Escape button on your keyboard or the Start button on your controller. Also, a mute button has been added to the main menu.
  • Added seppuku
  • Minor bug fixes
